Presented with love and gratitude. Poem “Ascension/Bring me higher” was written by me. Big ups to my homey, the 9th century poet, Cynewulf. My poem is inspired by his awesome work, Christ II. Images are from Tokyo Fashion Edge Magazine Volume 35, September 2019, with an overlay of handwritten runic and English scripts in watercolour. Have a healing week ahead.

I think I’d gladly settle for being a Chiseler of Oldenwords! Beautiful poetry, reminding me to dig deeper in the Sagas. I have been neglectful.

I am not surprised you spent the entire week working on your creative piece. It says a lot in a different, interesting way. A thought provoking piece that can be read several times to extract more and different overlays. Well done.

Annette, thanks so much for your lovely comment. I enjoy layering, I suppose, whether it’s clothes, taste sensations, text or colour. I like the volume and intensity that results.

Thanks, so much. I have always liked this edition of the magazine, and I found the crystal theme well suited to the concept of angels giving inspiration.

Thank you very much. Very happy to have you over here Christopher. I was surprised to find that my runic script is infinitely more legible than my Roman script.

Thank you!! We really need the luck for next week, actually. We’re working hard to try to pull this nation back from complete insanity….

Sixty million have voted so far, I hear. That is a definite win for democracy. Everyone participates, as they should. If it doesn’t pan out, you and your friends might need that bunker of yours after all. Or I can lend you my spaceship.

Yes! We have had unprecendented numbers of people voting across the country, and that is beautiful, no matter what happens.
But after 2016, I’m still not sure what to expect. Put me on the waiting list for a seat on your spaceship, please!

Loved this one Lily. The ascension from nothingness to oblivion and then back to the reality was excellent. Beautiful. 😇😇😇

Thanks so much, Kumar. It’s tricky writing in archaic English while also using made up words. You guys are amazing and I knew you would get it. Have a lovely week ahead.
