Swim

Ready? Set > Incensed
Swim oceans of defence
Lord watch my feet
[Ctrl-Alt-Believe]
In spinner race
towards relief
I stretch that charm
then kick this H8
until there’s land
until I am
right where you wait
there taking stock
with outstretched

Thank you. Many meaningful interactions take place with people we have never or will never meet. There’s a big trust factor there. So, I had to include that keystroke. x

I loved the imagery your poem provides. I enjoyed the part “then kick this H8 until there’s land until I am”. To me this gives a great insight to the feelings one has at the end of a race. Thank you for sharing this. 🙂

Thank you so much for coming over to have a look. I was thrilled to find your work echoing these feelings. It is wonderful when minds meet well before the thinkers do. Have a great Sunday. x

Thank you, Gavin. I’ve been through that in graduate studies. Let’s see, I’d lock myself indoors for days building websites, spell checking code, editing video, creating animated graphics and stuff. Once, a SEAL team of friends rang my door bell and extracted me from my apartment in my pyjamas. I was returned the next morning. Are you there yet?

Thank you, Fc4t. I would like to think of this poem as the story of myself. I appreciate your taking the positive meanings from it. Hope you’re having a good lager to round out the evening. x

This poem has a positive meaning for me. Incensed means “inspiration” or “motivation” after having one’s fire lit. Life should be about the journeys ahead of us. No life journey coasts along without some turbulence. To deny that, when the reality is glaring us in the face, would be naive. Thank you for reading.

You’re still very young. Some people say I have an old soul, so I guess we have that in common. I know you have a sharp eye for all things aesthetic. I appreciate that. Thank you again, Paolo. x
